CSI Disciplines
The team at CSI are specialists the below services disciplines and can manage the trades engaged to carry out the below works at the highest quality standards.

Mechanical
Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems provide appropriate air quality and thermal comfort to internal environments. Ventilation and filtration are important components of a HVAC system. HVAC, Smoke Management and Refrigeration systems are all subdisciplines of Mechanical Engineering.

Electrical
Electrical distributions systems are the driving force of the services environment. Harnessing the power of electricity to provide the ability to operate many types of machines and systems is the basis of electrical engineering. It is the most convenient form of energy for most human uses.

Hydraulic
Hydraulic systems use gravity or mechanical (pumps etc) means to deal with the collection, storage, control, transport, measurement and use of water, waste (trade or sewer) and other fluids.

Fire
Fire systems provide protection of people and property through early detection, wet (sprinkler & drencher) systems, indication and activation of smoke management systems, firefighting equipment (hydrants and hose reel systems) and passive fire rating process. In many instances the interface between mechanical systems and fire systems is critical to life safety.

Vertical transport
Lifts (people & vehicle), escalators, travelators and dock levellers are all forms of vertical transport. The movement of people through city’s (buildings and public spaces) is dependent largely on the vertical transport industry. Proper traffic (people) flow analysis ensures appropriate size and speed of the machine is designed and installed. Regular preventative maintenance is a key component of a successful vertical transport system.

Medical gases
Hospitals and other health care centres have the storage of medical gases in appropriate safe locations external to the buildings with the distribution and delivery of these gases throughout the facility via highly specialised medical gas systems. Their design, supply and proper commissioning is critical to the safety and wellbeing of the patients requiring this type of care.

ICT / Communications
In today’s connect world, information and communication is key to many successful enterprises. In fact, we rely more than ever on the ICT systems to allow us to manage, connect, fulfill and enjoy our lives. The security or our data, along with speed and versatility are the corner stones of our fast and ever-changing world.

Audio visual
The electronic media possessing both sound and picture and is now business as usual (BAU) for the way we operate on a daily basis. Businesses, schools, university’s (conference calls, social media, presentations) are all using audio visual systems to enhance user experience, record outcomes and train people in a very interactive way.

Security
Access control, closed circuit TV (CCTV), intruder alarms are all part of an integrated security system. The complexity and interface between these systems and the built environment is almost endless and experienced, competent designers and installers are a vital part of establishing an appropriate security system for a project.

Sustainability
A sustainable environment is one that meets the needs of the current occupants without compromising the ability of others (future generations in particular) to meet their own needs in relation to the environment and the natural, social & economic resources available. The built environment must take these factors into account when designing, constructing and operating.
